Hold You (Like The Blankets Do)

'Hold You (Like The Blankets Do)' arrives as the second single from the forthcoming album 'Dusk' by the creative duo The Daydream Club (aka Adam and Paula Pickering). The song was literally written beneath the blankets together casually armed with a guitar, a notepad and a sea view.

'Dusk' will mark The Daydream Club's tenth studio album release - a milestone that finds the duo nostalgically returning to a sound more akin to their earlier releases but obviously with a slight twist. The record carries a distinctive sonic identity shaped, in part, by a serendipitous charity shop find in the form of a vintage Casio keyboard that found its way onto most of the album's tracks, including this one. The retro, lo-fi synth textures sit alongside the organic acoustic instruments in a blend that in a way symbolises the duo's journey through music genres. An album that feels nostalgic and wholly present at the same time.
